Online Ordination in Florida

No Registration Required

Florida accepts online ordinations and does not require ministers to register with any government office. Any ordained minister or clergy member may perform marriages in Florida.

Requirements

  • Proof of ordination
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Complete and return the marriage license to the County Clerk within 10 days

Who Can Officiate in Florida

  • All regularly ordained ministers of the gospel or elders in communion with a church
  • Judges and clerks of the circuit court
  • Notary publics

Marriage License Info

Marriage licenses are obtained from any County Clerk's office. Florida residents have a 3-day waiting period (waived with premarital course). No waiting period for non-residents. The license has no expiration date.
