We started Church of Pride because the person who marries you should actually believe in your love. This blog is where we tell those stories — and help the ministers we ordain do the job well.
What you'll find here
- Officiant how-tos — writing a ceremony, the legal bits state by state, what to actually say during the vows.
- Wedding stories — real ceremonies performed by Church of Pride ministers, in their words.
- Field notes — what we're learning about running an open, affirming church on the internet.
If there's a topic you want us to cover, contact us. The best posts here will come from questions our ministers actually ask.
Why this matters
Most ordination paths come with baggage — institutions that have, at one point or another, told someone they weren't welcome. We exist as the alternative: ordination for everyone, with no doctrine and no dogma. Writing more makes that alternative easier to find.
Welcome aboard. Go marry someone.
